Sailor Elizabeth is here!!!!

Our little angel has arrived!!!! Sailor Elizabeth Gonzales was born Thursday February 4, 2010 at 10:17pm after about 20 hours of labor and 1 hour of pushing. She has dark brown hair and blue eyes. I think she looks like her daddy, but she changes everyday.....and she is only 3 days old.
I am recovering very fast and feeling great. I am trying to breast feed her, but we are having a bit of trouble.....we are both learning right now, but I think it will work out.
Sailor sleeps great and is a wonderful baby.......we cant wait to see what each new day brings!!!

HAPPY DUE DATE.....40 weeks

So today is February 3rd and its my due date!!!! We went to the doctor this morning for my 40 week check up and shocker.....still not dilated!!!! We decided to get induced tonight to accommodate Erik's work schedule. With the line of work he is in it is sometime very hard to leave work for a few days and still have that job when you get back. He starts a new movie next week and we didnt want to interrupt the schedule and we knew he had the next few days off, so we talked to the doctor about induction.
The doctor was willing to induce last week so we knew that induction would be fine, but we were a bit worried she would need more notice and we dont have the time to give more notice. She said the baby is the perfect size and in the perfect position for an induction so she called the hospital to see what time we should come in. We were told to come in tonight at midnight to get induced!!
She told us that they would start with an IV of pitocin to get my contractions started and regular. Erik asked the doctor some good questions today......for example...Q. how long could this take?? A. anywhere from a few hours to 20 hours!! it all depends on how well my body responds to the medication. Q. what are the chances of a c section now?? A. they will come in after about 6 hours and see where im at and if there is no progression then we will go over our options.
The grandmas will be here tonight at about 9:00pm ish and stay at our house and get some sleep while we are in the early stages of labor. Once things get going and they have had a few hours of sleep they will come to the hospital. Auntie Gail will be here at about 1:00am and stay for the long stretch as well and then Auntie Sarah will be here early tomorrow morning. So excited for our cheerleaders to be here with us....we are very luck!!
Well we will report back after baby G is in the world and with her real name for us to reveal to you!!! Talk to you soon xoxo
