We're Moving!!!!

We finally found a house!! We have been looking for a house to rent for months and just yesterday we found one and we sign the lease on Monday!!! We are very excited about this. Its a 3 bedroom, 2 bath house with a great living room and also a family room/den....i plan to make that a sitting room/playroom for the kids. I am very excited that we finally have a backyard for Sailor to run around in, she is gonna love it!!! We will be buying her (and her little brother) a swing set for summer. We plan to have the kids share a room for a least the first year and keep the 3rd bedroom for a guest room/office. The kitchen is big with tons of storage and 2 pantries!!!!! That makes mommy very happy!!! =)
Not looking forward to the packing and moving part, but SO looking forward to the living there part!!  We will spend our first night there on Easter Sunday.....cant wait!!

Baking cookies, rain storm and power outage!!!

Yesterday was i think the most rain was have had in a very long time. It started raining at about 3am Sunday morning and didnt stop until the next day.....and it never slowed down either. It rained really hard for hours. We were forced to stay indoors and Sailor was pretty good about that. She was in a really good mood and played with daddy most of the day. They would go out on the balcony and watch the rain, she loved it.
I was starting to get bored so i went out into the storm to get somethings to bake. Sailor and I made chocolate chip cookies with peanut butter chips. She loved the peanut butter chips so much and i think it was her first time to really eat peanut butter, she kept saying "mmmmmm".
I started dinner just in time and we sat down to eat just in time because at about 7:30pm the power went out!!! Luckily Sailor was fed and had her bath already, but we were eating dinner. Erik went and got a flashlight while i lit some candles and Sailor played with all her toys that light up. She was having so much fun running around the house in the dark!!! We then got out the camping lanterns haha. The power was out the rest of the night.
Sailor went to bed just fine and i gave her an extra blanket since we couldnt run the heater. Once she was in bed asleep, and i could relax since we didnt have a baby monitor now, Erik and I played dominoes for a while......we havent just sat and played a game in way too long so it was a lot of fun!!!!
At about 11:30pm the power came on (after being out for 4 hours). All the lights that i had forgotten to turn off came blasting on and i ran into Sailor's room to make sure her light didnt come on and she was just fine sleeping in the dark. Thank goodness =)

An interesting Sunday for sure!!!

Sailor breaking into the pantry

We have baby locks on everything in the kitchen, but i guess i forgot to close the pantry all the way. Sailor realized that she could open the pantry and get out a snack. I didnt get in her way or stop her at all.....in stead i grabbed the camera hahaha
She grabbed the Cheerios and dragged them into the living room for a snack.

Feeding herself and the mess

Sailor has a new favorite thing to do while eating......feeding herself with a fork or spoon!!! Even if i am feeding her she has to have her own spoon or fork and do it herself.
Tonight she had a Gerber graduate mac n cheese dinner with chicken and veggies.....she ate the whole thing plus a fruit cup. Most of it got in her mouth so i know she ate a ton. It is so funny to watch her with her silverware =)
She is getting so big!!!!

Daylight Savings

We just had daylight savings again and we had to turn the clocks forward an hour, which is good for more sun during the day but bad for less sleep!! I was happily surprised with how well Sailor is taking to the time change. She is waking up a bit later then normal, at 9am, but that is ok with me because she is still taking her 2 hour nap at 12:30pm and still going to bed at 8pm. She has adjusted to it very well!!! Infact with the time change i think she is actually sleeping 13 hours now. She is such a good sleeper now. We had a rough patch a few months back, but she is doing great now. She goes to bed so easy and sleeps all night with no problems (and thanks to huggies overnites no more leaks either).

I just love her to pieces!!! xoxo

Start of the 7th month

We officially have only 90 days until we meet our baby boy!!! I can not believe how fast this pregnancy has gone by. I am enjoying every minute of it too.

After bath, but before bed

Sailor gets a bath at about 6:30pm and is in bed by 8pm so she has some playtime after her bath. She is sometime really cranky during this time as it gets closer to her bedtime. This is a normal night of playing before bed.....
{in the dryer}
{dancing}
{playing toys}
{doing it all while wearing her necklace}

What does the pony say??

Sailor has one of those horses on a stick that you pretend to ride. She got it from Grandma Jodi at my baby shower. She use to be scared of it, but now she thinks its the funniest thing. It makes horse noises when you push the button, so when you ask her "what does the pony say?" She sticks out her tongue and makes like a "fart" sound hahaha to mimic the horse. She loves that!!!

I see you

Sailor loves to see herself in the mirror. She has begun making faces and watching herself. Its pretty cute. She also points at herself and will notice things, like a clip in her hair or an animal on her shirt.

{can you see her pointing??}

After bath time

After Sailor's bath is always a chore!!! She hates getting dressed and hates me putting lotion on her. She would spend the rest of her night naked if we let her haha
The only thing that keeps her sitting for long enough so i can get anything done is if i let her chew on her tooth paste tube. She gets so excited when she sees it!!! That and the lotion bottle. If i let her chew on that i can get some lotion on her.
She then cries when i take them away, sorry baby girl, but daddy thinks it is giving you cancer =)

A new favorite toy

Bumbo

She might be too big for it now

The sweetest face i have ever seen

A bad day...

This day will go down in the history of Sailor not napping for sure!!!!!
It was a normal day and she was totally fine, until nap time.....
I made her a bottle, put her in bed and turned on her music. She drank her bottle then began to not only cry but scream for what felt like forever!!!
So, after about 10-15 minutes of a fit i went down and got her....maybe she wasnt ready for a nap?? Well boy she was not happy. She couldnt stop crying and didnt want to held, even my me, didnt want a toy, didnt want dada, nothing was working. So i thought maybe she was still hungry and that bottle wasnt enough so i made her another small bottle, well she took it, but didnt want to drink it. She just carried it around screaming and dripping milk everywhere!!! It was making me crazy haha so i though if she isnt gonna drink it i will put the lid on it.....that only pissed her off more. She wouldnt even touch it with the lid on, go figure.
Eventually she got her blanket and literally passed out in the living room behind the couch, with the full bottle hahah
She must have just pooped her self out from crying, which is also a first!!!
Poor little thing....

Princess cup and jammies

Grandma Kathi bought Sailor a very special cup the other day, a Disney princess cup with a straw. She loves it, but is only aloud to have water in it because she treats it like her sippy cups and holds it upside down and tries to take the straw out. She is getting better at sitting with it or just holding it.
We also had to bring out the winter/holiday jammies again because the nights get pretty cold sometimes. The only problem is Sailor's feet have grown and now they dont fit. I have looked everywhere for fleece jammies, but all they sell right now are spring jammies. So i did it.....i cut the feet off them!!! I figure why not?? Its not like she is gonna wear them again next winter and they are too girly for her little brother to wear them when he is big enough.

Getting her hair washed

Sometimes getting her hair rinsed and washed is not her favorite thing about a bath, but it most be done....

ABC bathtime and more

Sailor got ABC sponges to play with in the bath and wow does she love them!!! She also got some that have pictures on them. We only gave her the ones with familiar pictures, like dog, cat, ball, girl, fish, etc. She loves them too. She is also getting so good at pointing to parts of her body. She know where here head, eyes, ears, feet, belly & knees are and she knows were they are on someone else.
Bath time might possibly be the best part of her day.....unless we go to the park haha
