The Pumpkin Patch

We took Sailor to the Pumpkin Patch today with Auntie Gail & Grandma Kathi. It was so much fun and Sailor enjoyed all there was to see!!! Auntie Gail, Erik & I went in the corn maze while Grandma took Sailor to see the animals in the petting zoo. She kept calling the mini horses doggies haha
Once we were out of the corn we meet back up and took a ton of pictures!!! We then went on the carousel and then to the pumpkins. It had starting to drizzle when we got there and by the time we were about to leave it was raining so we kind of had to rush the end. We then all went to TGI Fridays for dinner. When we got home Sailor had a bath and put on her pumpkin jammies =)

It was such a great day!!! Erik and I will be taking Sailor to a smaller pumpkin patch just to get our pumpkins.....fingers crossed no rain this time.

Football field dedication to Grandpa Dick

On Saturday October 23, 2010 we went to Damien High School where Sailor's Great Grandpa coached football for 25 years. After all his hard work there they have dedicated the field to him and renamed it "Dick Larson Stadium". It was a very nice ceremony and it was great to see so many family members.

Thanks for the mess doll

While I was in the kitchen cooking dinner, Sailor was in there making her normal mess. I open the tupperwear drawer for her and she pull everything out, but this night i had dropped a paper towel on the floor and didnt know it until i saw that Sailor had torn it into a million pieces haha

She was very proud of herself!!!!

Sleeping at the table

going...going...

Talking on the phone

Sailor has learned to put the phone to her ear....she gets very excited when she does it and you say "hello" =)

Family Park Day

On this particular Monday (Columbus Day) Erik had the day off so we had a fun family day and took Sailor to the park. She loves being outside and loves the park. We now bring her walking toy and she just goes for forever!!! She wore her new "park tennis shoes" from grandma Kathi and they worked perfect!! After walking for almost an hour we took a break to play on the blanket and then it was off to the swings. Sailor just loves the swings. Erik pushed while Sailor laughed and smiled. It was a great day.

Snacks in the bedroom

After Sailor woke up from a nap i thought it would be fun to play in her bedroom and have a snack. She is becoming a pro at using her snack cup. It has a lid that she can put her hand in to grab a snack but if its upside down nothing can spill out.....its great for home & the car!!!!
She is now really good at getting her hand in and grabbing her snacks =)

My living room

This is what my living room looks like while Sailor is awake. I clean it up when she naps but then once she is awake again it starts all over =) She has fun making this mess everyday!!!

Cell Phone

Sailor LOVES to chew on cell phones, car keys & TV controllers!!! What did kids chew on before these things existed?? hahaha At the age of 8 months old Sailor has 2 cell phones, 1TV controller & a key ring with key chains......oh the children of the 21st Century!!! =)

Standing at 8 months

Sailor is now standing all on her own without holding on to anything!!!! She has been doing for a couple of weeks now but now she can do it and just stand there for forever!!! She has such great balance too. If she is on carpet and barefoot she grips the carpet with her toes to help balance....its so funny =)

Weekends with daddy

We miss Erik so much during the week. He works very long hours and Sailor is usually still asleep when he leaves in the morning and in bed when he gets home. So when the weekend rolls around we try to spend as much time together as we can. Sailor will have her morning bottle in our bed with her dada and then she climbs on him like he is a jungle gym. This happens every weekend morning.

A new toy!!

Sailor has been standing at everything for over a month now and now is standing without holding on to anything. She is trying to take steps now so we bought her a walking/pushing toy and wow does she love it!!! She has been "walking" (if someone holds her hands) since she was about 4 or 5 months so she is really strong.
We should have bought this toy for her sooner haha

** i promise she pushes it, but our little monkey loves to climb things hahaha

Watching Yo Gabba Gabba

Sailor loves Yo Gabba Gabba in the morning after her breakfast. She will sit on the floor and normally watch the whole thing, but this particular morning she was not sitting on the floor....

......she was sitting on her bumbo chair that she had flipped over....such a goof ball our girl is =)

Finger Foods

Sailor is just a few days away from being 8 months old and she is eating almost everything we eat!!! She started with peas and now is eating pears, cereal, bananas, bread, hard boiled egg yolk, graham crackers & ritz crackers....just about anything except meats.
She is now picking her foods up with just her pointer finger & thumb, such a big girl!!!
For the first time the other day i was eating a slice of cold pizza and when i got the crust Sailor was very curious of it so i let her taste it. Well that ended with her gnawing the whole crust till it was almost gone. She ate almost the whole thing!!!

Cant wait to see what is next for her.
