our little girlie girl ♥

Today Sailor got her first pedicure!!! She got her toe nails painted hot pink....perfect color for summer.

Concert in the park

In the park near my mom's house they do a concert in the park all summer long. Sailor & I were visiting Grandma Kathi when we got a phone call from Grandma Jodi that she was in La Habra too visiting her sister and wanted to know if we  wanted to go to the park. It was great because Sailor got to see her grandma AND her great grandpa Marty.....it was a fun evening.

Bubble bath

Tonight for bath time i thought it would be fun for Sailor and I to take a bubble bath together. This was her first time in the tub without her whale tub....she loved it!!! She was very interested in the bubbles and kept trying to grab them....it was adorable.

i love our baby monitor!!!

Sailor is so adorable in the morning when she first wakes up. She will start rolling and crawling around in her crib and talking to herself. She has now stared to throw all her pacifiers out of the crib....like its a game. I put about 5 or 6 in there so she always has one if she wakes up in the night & it works!!!

Trying new food

Sailor has these rice wafers.....they seriously look and taste like styrofoam  hahaha but they are easy to chew and dissolve very fast. She had some while mommy & daddy ate dinner. Then she has some water from her sippy cup.
The wafers......she cant get them in her mouth just yet. Once they get wet they stick to her hand and she cant get them into her mouth.....this makes her very mad!!!! Most of what she got in her hand ended up in her lap hahaha
The sippy cup......she knows how to hold it & which part goes in you mouth, she just doesnt have the sucking part down yet. Right now she just chews on it (it is soft like a bottle nipple).
We will keep practicing them both!!!

*****we started all of this because as of today we could see a tooth coming in!!!! Her first tooth on the bottom!!!!

Playing outside

Sailor loves to be outside.....this was the first time she wasnt mad about sitting in the grass, she kinda liked it. We went to teh driving range to watch daddy hit golf balls, but when Sailor got really excited and started really "talking" we had to move away from the guys. We sat under a tree and played in the shade while we waited for daddy.

Gymboree

Sailor went to Gymboree with her new friend Chloe.....she had a blast. They sang songs, played on the gym toys & played with bubbles (i think that was her favorite part). It was a ton of fun for the mommies too.

 This is after Gymboree class......she was exhausted!!!!

Already!!???

Well last night we really came to the realization that Sailor is gonna give us a run for our money.....she pulled herself up to a standing position in her crib!!! But not only did she do that, she then stood there for a few seconds then let go and fell over like a tree in the forest!!!! If she would have been just 2 inches to the right she would have smacked her head really hard on the other railing of the crib!!!

So needless to say we lowered her crib down 1 notch.......didnt think we would have to do that for at least another month.....she isnt even 6 months old yet!!

We have a crazy girl on our hands......but I love that about her, her wild spirit & crazy energy =)

Sailor is doing so great at trying to crawl. She can move pretty fast now!! Its not a perfect crawl, but she is getting there. And also for the first time she sat herself back up from a crawling position!!!!! Such a big girl =)

1st sippy cup

Sailor is trying out a sippy cup for the 1st time.....she dosent understand it just yet, but we will work on it.

always a fun time at grandma Kathi's house

Sailor went in the pool at grandma Kathi's house this weekend while it was 100 degrees!!!! She had a blast.....she loves the water so much, we will have a water baby next summer for sure =)

ps.....always wear your sunblock!!!! hehe

Sailor loves her daddy......she always laughs at him no matter what he does.....its so great to watch them together, it makes me smile.

She may want her mommy when she is upset or tired but she definitely wants her dada when she is in play mode!!!!

a day at the beach

We took Sailor to the beach again for the 1st time since she was 10 days old......she wasnt too sure of it though. She was very interested in the waves & the water but the sand was definitely not her favorite part. We will try again soon =)

trying SO hard

Sailor is 5 1/2 months old and is so very close to crawling!!! She gets up on her hands & knees and then when she moves one hand she falls to her face, but then just pushes with her legs and gets across the room pretty fast!!! We will be babyproofing soon then we thought!!!! =)

eat your veggies!!!

Sailor is loving her veggies.....sweet potatoes & peas!!! Its so fun watching her face as she discovers new flavors......carrots and green beans are next =)

5 months old.....

Our girl is 5 months old now.....where has the time gone!!!! This month Sailor has had a ton of firsts. She celebrated her first 4th of July at grandma Kathi's house and went in the pool and watched fireworks, she did great.

She has also started veggies....she loves her sweet potatoes!!!! Next we will try peas. So far we havent found a food she does like hahahaha

Sailor has a new "word" too.....blah blah blah blah......kind of a mix between baba and dada =) She says it all day long and when she cries or gets mad she really starts up!!!!

She is still sleeping great.....in bed by 10pm and wakes up at about 8:30am......she is a great baby!!!

She has also begun to sit on her own....for a about two or three minutes before toppling over. She is getting so strong. But the biggest thing so far this month is Sailor can get up on her hands and knees and rock back & forth!!!!!!! She is trying so very hard to crawl.....its amazing!!!!!! She is all over the place now.....its almost time for baby proofing!!!!

Sailor has started to get up on her hand and knees and rock back & forth. She is trying so very hard to crawl but just cant figure out that you have to move your hand to get going.....she gets so mad that she cant do it yet =) She will figure it out in no time and the watch out!!!!

Pretty Little Liars

This is a bit off topic from my normal posts, but I wanted to share this with you all.....There is a new TV show on ABC Family on Tuesday nights called "Pretty Little Liars" and it is really good!!!!! My husband works on the show so check it out and keep the ratings up =)

Sailor has a new "word"

Sailor has learned a new "word" its a mix between dada & baba.....its kinda like blah blah blah =) She is a little talker now......oh and sitting SO good now!!!!

4th of July

We had the best 4th of July!!!! We went to my mom's house and had a bbq/pool party with friends and family. It was so great to see everyone. The fireworks at night were so fun & Sailor did really good with them. 

Sailor went in the pool and ate watermelon for the 1st time......she cried when it was gone, so i guess she likes it =)

We cant wait for more summer days like that!!!!
