Pacifier anyone??

Sailor is definitely a "paci girl".....she loves her paci!!!! I keep about 5 or 6 in her crib and she loves to play with them and her new thing is to run them alongside the rungs of the crib like she is in jail hahaha She also likes to toss them over the side and yell at them.....silly girl =)

Gerber 2nd Foods

I LOVE GERBER 2ND FOODS!!!!!!

Sailor has been eating stage 2 foods for almost a month now and I love how many options they have!!!
For breakfast she eats oatmeal mixed with bananas or rice mixed with fruit plus a jar of fruit. Then for lunch she has a veggie and a fruit and then for dinner she has a veggie and a protein.

But its not just plain ol' peas & carrots or apples & bananas its........

• organic pear with raspberry
• banana peach & granola
• apples, mango with rice cereal
• banana with mixed berry
• harvest veggies with mixed grains
• farmers market veggie blend with mixed grains
• spring veggies with brown rice
• mac & cheese with veggies
• garden veggies with whole wheat pasta
• turkey with veggies
• turkey with sweet potatoes
• chicken with apples

Who wouldnt want to eat that yummy stuff!!!!

Visiting Grandma Jodi

We went down to San Diego to visit with Erik's mom Jodi for a long weekend. It was the last weekend before Erik had to go back to work so it was nice to have relaxing stay at "Hotel Anderson" haha

Sailor loved the square footage of the living room.....gave her tons of space to crawl around  and explore new furniture. We also went in the pool and jacuzzi, Sailor loved it of course. It was about 85-90 the whole time we were there so we made a trip to the beach and BBQed  almost every night. Sailor sat on a horse for the first time (grandma Jodi is determined to make her an equestrian) and met yet another "grandparent", Grandpa Bill.

Sailor got a new toy from grandma too.....she got a walker!!! It was her first time in a walker but picked i up in seconds, then off she went!!! She really got moving haha

All in all it was a great mini vacation ♥

"Sailor, no no!!!"

Well ever since Sailor started crawling she has been exploring the living room and dinning room. There are 5 things in these rooms that are a "no no's"......the stereo, the fireplace, glass vases near the fireplace, the cord to a lamp & glass bowls in the dinning room. Other then that she can "play" with anything else in the room.

She is a smart little girl and fast learner!!! We havent had to say "No No" too much just yet, but im sure that will change as she gets older haha. She started out trying to touch all of these things but now after a few weeks she crawls towards them then stops, looks back at me and then goes for it. Then I say "Sailor! No No!! No Touch!" and she listens and crawls away =)

I always tell her "Thanks You" and "Good Girl" after she crawls away. She is so smart.....we are so proud of how she is listening to us already =)

At Sailor's 6 month doctor visit he gave us the thumbs up to start proteins. So i bought some basic chicken with gravy and turkey with gravy......i felt so terrible giving that nasty stuff to her. It smelled like cat food!!!! She wasnt to happy about it either. I wont do that again.
I changed to chicken/turkey with veggies and chicken/turkey with rice.....it looks and smells so much better and Sailor actually loves it!!!

It has been so nice out lately that we walked to the park and laid out a big blanket and played under a tree. Sailor loves the park!!! It has been so nice having Erik off work right now.....we are gonna miss dada when he has to go back ♥

6 months old

Sailor is 6 months old now.....wow how that went fast!!! She is a little fire cracker and keeps us on our toes. This month has been a great month already.....we started her 6th month off with a family vacation to Laughlin, NV (the river). This was our 1st real vacation and it was so amazing!!! Sailor is officially crawling and getting into everything!!! She is also pulling herself up on everything and standing there....such a big girl. We have started the baby proofing process (much sooner then expected). Sailor is eating a ton....she is loving her veggies and fruit. Bring on the stage 2 foods!!!!

Cant wait to see what the next 6 months bring.

Here are the things Sailor has accomplished in the past 6 months.......

Sailor found her books

Sailor woke up this morning and i changed her and out her on the floor in her room to play while i put laundry in. When i came back in her room i found that she had pulled the books off her shelf and has discovered the stereo in her room.....she is getting into everything these days!!!

Sailor is now taking her baths in the big bath tub.....without her whale tub!!! Such a big girl. She likes to be in there, but tries to stand and ends up slipping all around. We are looking to buy something for her to sit in.

Family Vacation

Sailor turned 6 months this month and to kick off her half birthday we went to Laughlin, NV (the river) My mom has been taking my sister & I with our close family friends for as long as i can remember. Last summer was the first time i brought Erik and i was 4 months pregnant.
Sailor was so good on the drive (we left the house at 6am) she slept most of the way and only woke up long enough to eat. She had a blast at the lake all day and enjoyed the water so much. We set up camp and her "river" play pen in the shade and she was as happy as could be.

This was also her first stay in a hotel.....she was great with that too. We set up the nice play pen in the room as her bed and brought her activity mat to play on.....she was such a good girl the whole trip.

After being in nothing but a swim suit for 5 days our girl has tan lines!!! hahaha
.......she was born to be a river rat!!!!!

New sandals for a river trip

We are getting ready for a vacation to Laughlin, NV and Sailor got a new pair of sandals!! We are leaving Wednesday early morning at 7am and going straight to the lake.....this will be Sailor's 1st real vacation and 1st trip to the lake. Cant wait to watch her play in the water!!!

Fingers crossed we all survive the 4 1/2 hour drive with a baby who HATES being in the car!!!!!
