Visiting Santa Claus

We took Sailor to see Santa at the mall. I had been preparing her for weeks who Santa was and that he isnt scary. She even started kinda saying Santa...danta. When we got there the line was very short so we got her changed into her Christmas dress. She was very excited to see "danta" and she loved the big Christmas tree there.
Once it was our turn to sit on Santa's lap she walked up to him, with mommy of course, and i set her on his lap and she gave me the look!!! The look of "please mom dont leave me here!!" She didnt really cry but she definitely was not happy about being there. we got our picture and then she was happy again. Santa even gave her a lolly pop, which she loved!!!

Thanksgiving

This is Sailor's 1st real Thanksgiving and we went to my mom's, Grandma Kathi. This day Sailor really started walking!!! She was all over the place. She chased after the dog and played with Grandpa Mike (papa), Auntie Gail & Uncle B. It is so fun watching her walk.
Dinner was amazing....thanks mom!!!! Sailor loved her Thanksgiving dinner again and did her "so cute" pose in her high chair.....she is such a ham!!!

Taco Night

We had a taco night at home that was long over due. We havent had home made tacos in what felt like forever!!! It was also Sailor's 1st time trying red meat (ground beef).....it didnt go very well. She likes the other taco parts, but the meat was not a success.
We will try the meat again but maybe in some meat sauce with pasta.

Winter Walks

I love this time of year.....and i love taking walks in the cold. I got Sailor bundled up for a short walk to Trader Joe's for some snacks. I love how that beanie makes her face look chubby and smooched haha

Winter Chic

Sailor is style ready for winter......

Great Grandpa Marty

This is a very sad time for the family right now. After a great family weekend in San Diego for Early Thanksgiving we lost Grandpa Marty. Marty is Erik's Grand Father on his mother's side. He was a great man, so funny and full of life. Everyone who knew him can tell you a story about him.....there are so many great stories.
He was Sailor's Great Grand Father and we were lucky enough to get some great photos of them together. He was there when she was 3 weeks old and we went to San Diego to visit Grandma Jodi. We were able to get a great 4 generation photo that weekend. Sailor also spent Memorial weekend this year in Palm Springs with Great Grandpa Marty. He got to see her rolling over and go in the pool for the 1st time. Also this summer went met him and Grandma Jodi at the park for a concert in the park. Grandpa Marty got to feed Sailor that night and see the beginning of her crawling.

You will be missed Grandpa Marty, we love you xoxo

Early Thanksgiving

Every year we do Thanksgiving with Erik's side of the family the weekend before real Thanksgiving as well as celebrate his birthday (daddy turned 32 this year!!!!!!) Happy Birthday babe!!! Your girls love you xoxox
We go down to San Diego to Erik's mom's house and his whole family comes down to celebrate and stay the weekend. It was a lot of fun this year being that it was Sailor's 1st "early Thanksgiving". She had so much fun walking all over Grandma Jodi's house and playing with her new toys that she got. Sailor also played with Auntie Sarah, Uncle Aaron, Aunt Lori, Uncle Eddie & Great Grandma Pat. It is so great to see her with her family.
Dinner was amazing, as usual, and Sailor did really good with her Thanksgiving food. She ate peas (her favorite), sweet potatoes, stuffing & turkey. I think stuffing is a new favorite for her now.

The morning after dinner Erik & I went to the hospital to visit Grandpa Marty (Sailor's Great Grandpa). I wish she could have come too, but he was in an area that children were not allowed in. It was a nice way to end a family filled weekend.

Busted!!!!

As i was cleaning up the kitchen i notice the room is very quite. I look over the breakfast bar and see this......she pushed her toy bin over to the kitchen chairs then climbed up on one!!!

{not my best mommy moment, but my 1st reaction was to get the camera & then get her down}

Bath time at 9 months old

This is just a random night that i took some bath photos.....Sailor loves her bath!!! But ever since she started standing up in the tub and i had to tell her to sit down she gets very mad at me and cries when she has to "sit on her buns" as i like to tell her =) hahaha

Taking steps!!!!

Sailor has been taking steps all over the place!!! She isnt walking just yet, but getting so very close. She cruises around the furniture and anything she can get her hands on and when she gets to the end she lets go and takes 5-8 steps. She is so proud of herself when she is doing then that she starts clapping her hands and smiling.....it is adorable.

1st pigtails

Sailor's hair is finally long enough for me to give her tiny little piggy tails!!!! It is just adorable. I think i have waited my whole life to be able to do pig tails on my daughter ♥

Spaghetti & mac n cheese oh my!!

Sailor has been eating real solids for weeks now, but just had spaghetti for the first time the other night and she LOVED it!!! She is really loving picking food up and feeding herself and trying new things. Her new favorite food is mac & cheese haha I buy her the all natural organic kind and she just loves it, plus it travels well. I make it for her and i can put it into small bowls and bring with us it to lunch or dinner at a restaurant. Its a great finger food for her.
